American Fallen Soldiers Project to Deliver Two Portraits at 11th Annual “Jimmy’s Run”

The American Fallen Soldiers Project and artist Phil Taylor will present two special portraits honoring Army SGT Dale Brehm and Army SPC Christopher Gathercole on November 11th in New York, NY at the 11th Annual “Jimmy’s Run” hosted by the Lead The Way Fund.

Both SGT Dale Brehm and SPC Christopher Gathercole were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment in Fort Lewis, Washington.

 

SGT Dale Brehm was killed on March 18, 2006 while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom when his unit came under small arms fire in Ramadi, Iraq. The 23-year-old from Turlock, California was in his sixth tour of duty when he was killed, and was only 2 1/2 weeks away from returning home from duty.

 

 

 

SPC Christopher Gathercole was was killed in Ghazni, Afghanistan on May 26, 2008 when his unit came under fire. The light machine gunner was 21 years old from Santa Rosa, California. Christopher was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star with Valor.
